One from North Dakota and the other from Virginia. Their long-distance relationship was filled with several states in between thanks to education and careers. With a law degree from Yale and two master’s degrees in divinity and social work, Ryan and Matt respectively have their feet firmly planted in bettering this world on one level or another.

So it was no surprise when the big day came around that loved ones from all over the country and world came to Connecticut to celebrate with them and their beautiful vows to each other. From the serenade of Good Morning, Starshine to special state-inspired wedding cakes, these two centered their wedding around what mattered most: their journey together.

It was an honor to take part in such an emotional day. To cry, to sing, and to laugh together. And most importantly, that laughter bit because let’s be real. All weddings should be required to have Disney parodies, The Weather Girls, and gluten-free cake. Can I get an amen? 🙂
